Katie & Rob ♡ The Wellbeing Farm Wedding, Bolton
A look at Katie & Rob’s stunning & unique The Wellbeing Farm wedding in Bolton.
” Sasha arrived on time, and quickly got snapping away, mostly we didn’t even notice she was there which was quite refreshing. The photos are natural and genuinely capture the fun and relaxed atmosphere of the day. We did a few family shots, and did a bit of a couples walk around for some photos of just us two, but mostly they were natural shots of the events of the day and our friends and family. We are really pleased with the results, we just can’t choose which ones to get printed out!”

○ Why did you choose The Wellbeing Farm as your wedding venue?
We wanted somewhere which captured our sense of adventure, it had to be surrounded by beautiful countryside. It’s a magical place and the animals (bow tie wearing llamas and flat cap wearing donkeys) were a bonus!
○ What is the style/theme/vibe of your wedding?
Our theme is loosely ‘adventure’, but with a relaxed yet magical feel.
○ What music are you walking down the aisle to / first dance and why?
I’m walking down the aisle to ‘Morning Has Broken’, but played in the style of Rick Wakeman, for a few reasons, one it was one of my favourties at school, also that it was one my Nanna’s favourite songs to sing to which really helped her during her illness with dementia, and finally because my Dad and I have enjoyed listening to this version at Rick Wakeman concerts and it’s always a favourtie.
Our first dance is Fireflies by Owl City, I think it captures a wonderful sense of magic and it’s a song I used to dance to during my burlesque years, ask most people, when they hear it they think back to that time. Given our romantic magical vision for the first dance, it just seemed to fit for us.
○ What are you most looking forward to on the day?
Saying our vows in front of all of our friends and family, we have written them ourselves and so should raise a few smiles or maybe even a couple of tears. After that, I just can’t wait to celebrate, we’ve been waiting such a long time for this day, we booked it 4 years ago so very grateful it’s finally here.
○ Describe your ideal wedding day in 3 words:
Magical, Fun and Memorable.
○ Why do you like natural wedding photography?
We are a pretty relaxed couple and embrace the outdoors, choosing a natural style of photography seemed the right fit for us, we didn’t want pictures that were too formal or strict. Our ideal is to capture the laid back happy atmosphere of the day.
○ Any advice for future brides & grooms planning their day?
Just get organised as quick as possible, choose your suppliers and secure the bookings, there’s less to worry about down the line then.
○ Would you recommend having an engagement photoshoot?
Absolutely! We really enjoyed it and the pictures make us smile all the time. It’s always nice to have professional pictures at certain times in life to capture key moments. Also made great gifts for family members 🙂
○ Kind words:
“We honestly couldn’t have had a better service from Sasha with managing our arrangements for the wedding photography. We had booked her a few years ago, and when dates changed Sasha was very accommodating and moved our dates with no problem. Communications were always quick and clear and we felt very at ease for the big day. Sasha arrived on time, and quickly got snapping away, mostly we didn’t even notice she was there which was quite refreshing. The photos are natural and genuinely capture the fun and relaxed atmosphere of the day. We did a few family shots, and did a bit of a couples walk around for some photos of just us two, but mostly they were natural shots of the events of the day and our friends and family. We are really pleased with the results, we just can’t choose which ones to get printed out! We would 100% recommend Sasha for your big day, or any reasons you’d want a professional photographer. We actually won a competition with Sasha and won a free Engagement shoot, which I would also recommend as it let us get to know her and her, us. Just a huge thank you Sasha, can’t wait to commission you again soon! Love Rob & Katie Dyson xx”
