○ What’s your love story?

We met 7 years ago on Tinder – cringe! Our first date was for fish and chips at the pub. 5 years later Dan proposed in one of our favourite places ever, Norfolk, followed by fish and chips again!

○ Why did you choose Heathy Lea as your wedding venue?

Fi found the venue online and wouldn’t stop going on about it. We love Chatsworth and has always been a favourite place to walk and visit. Dan being from Bradwell and me from Sheffield it felt like a halfway between the two. When we went to visit for the first time, I think we both new instantly it was our venue. The setting is idyllic with amazing views across the Chatsworth park. We loved the venue was ours for the weekend and could just imagine us celebrating with our friends and family over the few days.

○ What is the style/theme/vibe of your wedding?

Laid- back, relaxed, garden party vibes. After the past few years we just wanted everyone we love and care about in one place to have a big party. We’re hoping it’s dry so we can enjoy the garden and grounds. Some delicious food by our awesome caterers and a good boogie.

○ What music are you walking down the aisle to / first dance and why?

Walking down the aisle to Pocahontas theme as I grew up always wanting to be her. First dance is Precious Love as we both really love Schitts Creek, we heard in on the show and thought it was a perfect choice for first dance.

○ What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Spending the whole day with the people we love and care about.

○ Describe your ideal wedding day in 3 words:

Relaxed, fun, memorable

○ Why do you like natural wedding photography?

The photographer was especially important to Dan, as I too many photographers use filters which wash out colour and make it feel cold. He was after very specific lighting and style of photography and we loved Sasha work for this reason, the colour! Having a natural photographer was an easy choice for us both as we are very uncomfortable around a camera and hate posing. We also felt our venue was such a beautiful site and could easily imagine Sasha taking some incredible shots with the stunning scenery.

○ Would you recommend having an engagement photoshoot?

Yes, we would definitely recommend an engagement shoot. It was so lovely to meet Sasha before the wedding and get to know her. It really allowed us to be less awkward and uncomfortable in front of the the camera. I would say by the end of the session we felt much more confident. Plus we got some gorgeous sunset shots!

○ Any advice for future brides & grooms planning their day?

Don’t stress the small things, delegate where possible. Get all the big things booked and sorted early to avoid disappointment.

“Finding the right photographer was so important to us. Especially for Dan who much prefers photography with very natural and airy lighting. We both immediately loved Sasha’s style of photography because none of it appeared posed or forced. We wanted candid shots of really natural and emotional moments and we feel she did this beautifully. Neither of us are confident in front of the camera so the idea of having wedding photography focusing mostly on us was daunting. We decided to have an engagement shoot to meet Sasha and try to build some confidence. From the initial meeting she made us feel completely relaxed and at ease. On the wedding day so many of our guests mentioned how lovely and friendly she was.
