Documentary Style Photography

I’m a natural Sheffield wedding photographer, but travel both nationwide and destination to capture special days. My style is best described as authentic and romantic, where genuine emotion meets a soft, dreamlike tone. Rooted in documentary storytelling, I focus on capturing your wedding day as it naturally unfolds, preserving the real moments that make it uniquely yours.

There’s so much beauty, love and quiet emotion within a wedding that to me, interrupting the flow is rarely needed. Instead of directing the day, I take a gentle, unobtrusive approach, blending in, observing and seeking out the moments you might not even realise are happening.

Of course, I’m also there to guide you when needed, whether that’s with group photos or relaxed couple portraits. My aim is always to help you feel comfortable, so your photos reflect your true selves.

I’m drawn to the in-between: the soft glances, bursts of laughter, teary eyes, warm embraces, and all the little details… the light, colour, the atmosphere – everything that brings your day to life. Every wedding has its own rhythm and story, and it’s a joy to capture them honestly and thoughtfully.

Forever more comfortable behind a lens than in-front, so if you’re a little camera shy like me you don’t need to worry as you’re in safe, empathetic hands.

I know how important it is to truly be present on your wedding day, which is why I focus on creating a space for you to simply experience it. I won’t be constantly directing or interrupting: instead, I’ll be quietly present, anticipating moments as they happen so you don’t have to think about the camera at all.

What I love most is being able to quietly witness it all – the big emotions and the subtle in-between moments, and then creating something you can turn to & revisit.
