Katie and James celebrated their winter wedding at Cubley Hall, Sheffield, on a cold, crisp December day in 2017.

Katie’s bridal prep began in the morning alongside her lovely bridesmaids. She wore a stunning white dress with a long trail from Ecclesall Road’s The Bridal House, and a beautiful grey-blue bolero. Her platinum hair had been gently curled and finished with a gold leaf headband, which made her look every inch the winter bride.

The wedding itself took place in an amazing rustic barn, surrounded by a patchwork of Yorkshire countryside. They’d decorated the inside with an abundance of fairy lights, so the space looked truly magical. All the lights made for a twinkling and gorgeous atmosphere, and some wonderful photography too.

My favourite memory from the day was during Katie and James’ vows. You could tell they meant every word, and it was a special moment to be part of, surrounded by their close friends and family.

The ‘I dos’ were followed by the confetti throw and some group shots outside with guests gathered around the bandstand. I particularly enjoyed the bride and groom photoshoot in the grounds. These are some of my favourites from the day, and we had plenty of fun taking them. Meanwhile, the guests had a few drinks and chatted, before being seated for speeches. These were suitably poignant and funny in equal measure. Katie’s dad’s was particularly touching, as it’s obvious they have such a close relationship.

Everyone enjoyed the wedding breakfast afterwards, followed by cutting of the cake and the first dance. All the guests were into the spirit too, and we got some great shots of people throwing some shapes and dancing into the night.

I loved being part of Katie and James’ special day, it was a very laid back and relaxing affair, and so nice to spend the day with such a lovely family.

Sasha was the photographer at our wedding on 1st December 2017 and she was absolutely amazing! She was so lovely and chilled, she really made us feel at ease in front of the camera. It was a very cold day, she was well organised and on the ball with the group photos as she was aware that the guests would be cold stood outside. All of our guests have commented on how impressed they were and how natural it felt to have Sasha around and we totally agree with them.

We received our wedding photos within 2 weeks whilst we were on our honeymoon, we had the most amazing honeymoon but we were so excited to get back to look at them!! As expected, our photos were just perfect!! we love them so much.
