Callum & Emma’s wedding took place at Loughborough’s Sutton Bonington Hall – a gorgeous manor house venue that oozes class & elegance. They chose Sutton Bonington Hall because simply put (and true), ‘it was stunning.”

Bridal prep’ began in Lady Elton’s room, which was coincidentally decorated in the colours of the day – green & white. Emma got her hair and makeup done, while downstairs Callum was greeting guests, who were being welcomed in to the sound of the harpist.

Emma’s bridesmaids got ready into beautiful, long, teal gowns, as Emma changed into a simply stunning Prenovias dress. She looked so elegant with a classic up-do, topped off with a sparkly hair piece & veil. Callum was dressed in a handsome, dark blue Slaters suit, accessorised with a blue tie and awesome pair of blue & brown brogues.

The ceremony began and it was clear to see that it touched the hearts of many in the room, as well as Callum & Emma who got a little teary-eyed. After the I do’s, family & friends made their way outside and formed a tunnel, ready to shower the newlyweds with plenty of confetti. Although it was sprinkling outside, nobody was fazed, which is honestly the best way to deal with a spot of rain at a wedding.

The wedding breakfast took place in the venue’s conservatory, which had heaps of natural light flooding in and looked just gorgeous. The room looked very classic & traditional, and was decorated with heaps of baby’s breath flowers. Speeches came before the food, and Callum, Emma’s dad & the best man did a fantastic job.

After dinner and dessert, Callum, Emma & I went out for a walk along the vast grounds for some bride & groom photos. They looked so cute and in-love, not to mention very relaxed in front of the camera, since they’d already had experience with an engagement shoot.

The remainder of the evening was filled with additional guests arriving, cutting of the cake, the first dance, drinking and a whole lot more of dancing and celebrating until the very end of the night ✨

Sasha Lee Photography, where do we even begin…

We stumbled across Sasha at a Wedding Fair at Derby Velodrome Arena. From initially seeing her work here, we totally fell in love. We loved the dream like feel to her work & how natural & relaxed her images are; capturing those unposed golden moments. Even the posed images come across in a way that is so very spontaneous & truly charming.

We took Sasha up on her pre wedding/engagement shoot package & can honestly say it is totally worth every penny. We chose Lady Bower Reservoir as our location, where Sasha arrived promptly. The time spent with her during our session simply flew. This time was a great way of meeting with Sasha before our big day. To get to know her & how she works & the added bonus of getting a delightful package before our big day of truly beautiful photographs. Win, win.

The pre wedding/engagement shoot also filled us with confidence (not that we had any doubts) for our big day, completely putting us at ease and feeling genuinely so very thankful that Sasha was our photographer on our wedding day.

On the day of our wedding, Sasha was an absolute star. Not only our photographer but so, so, sooooo much more. She was everywhere, helping everyone. For the duration of the day, looking back at our overwhelmingly brilliant photographs, on countless occasions we asked ourselves, ‘how did she get there?’. You genuinely didn’t even realise she was even in the room.

Just over a week after our wedding; the same day we arrived back off our honeymoon, our wedding day photographs arrived in theee cutest package we ever did see. There were so many happy tears shed as we sat back and flicked through with a brew (tea provided in the package, amazing!!!) & our first dance song playing in the background, simply perfect.

We CANNOT thank Sasha enough for the exquisite photographs that she captured of our wedding day, they are truly stunning. With each one, we are taken back to that very moment & its those very moments that my husband & I shall cherish & can look back on forever.
