Sarah & Dan ♡ Leeds Town Hall & The Tetley, Leeds Wedding

A look at Sarah & Dan’s gorgeous Leeds Town Hall & The Tetley wedding in Leeds.

Sarah & Dan’s big day took place on a sunny Saturday in March. It began at Leeds Town Hall, before moving on to The Tetley Brewery – a fantastic and different from-the-norm venue. They chose The Tetley Brewery because of it’s “low-key” and “industrial” feel.

Sarah arrived at Leeds Town Hall wearing a gorgeous & elegant floor-length dress from Abbey Bridal Warehouse. Her blonde locks tied up into a simple, loose, pretty bun. Dan meanwhile, wore a handsome dark blue tweed suit, with brown brogues.

The ceremony in the Town Hall‘s Albert Room was fairly short, but lovely. Afterwards the I dos and first kiss, guests flooded around to take photographs of the newlyweds, before they stepped outside to a mini and impromptu confetti throw at the hands of a couple of family & friends.

A gorgeous vintage bus from the Yorkshire Heritage Bus Company had been hired out to transport all of the guests from the Town Hall over to The Tetley. The inside of the bus had even been decked out with floral decorations by the bride, and it made for a really nice and pretty touch. 🌺🌺🌺

Upon arrival at The Tetley, Sarah, Dan & myself went for a little wander around the venue and up into the boardroom, capturing some lovely couple photographs. Guests enjoyed a few drinks and canopies before being guided into the wedding breakfast room, which had been decorated with heaps of hessian bunting, fairy lights, succulents, candles & wooden log slices on the tables.

After breakfast came the speeches. Dan’s was lovely, and it was very touching to see him well up a bit when it came to talking about his new wife. When it came to the best man’s speech he had the entire room laughing, recalling past antics with the groom. To Dan’s horror, he even brought along an old & regrettable fashion choice of Dan’s from back when they were younger – a bold, bright silver bomber jacket. Dan threw the jacket on once more and gave his audience a spin. I thought it looked pretty funky. 😂

Moving on to the evening reception, it was a super fun affair filled with drinking, dancing and nomming of the sweets and cheese spread (it was a REAL cheese cake, made up of a big stack of wheels and heart shaped brie, yum). The wedding party were joined by the New York Brass Band – a New Orleans inspired band from North Yorkshire. They really put on a great show! The troupe shuffled around the venue playing popular hits, and got everyone to join in with the singing & dancing. They were really interactive and so much fun, and had the dance floor filled throughout the rest of the night. ⭐
