“Sasha was incredible! She was so professional, kind and accommodating. I’d seen in loads of reviews people referring to her as a ninja photographer. I didn’t really get it – apart from the fact that she was so quiet and unobtrusive on our wedding day – until our photos were delivered. I didn’t even know she was there for the huge majority of the shots she captured!! My husband and I are not great on camera, tend to be and feel a bit awkward, so this massively helped – we didn’t feel like we were being photographed so we just relaxed and enjoyed our day and you can really see it in Sasha’s photos.”

○ What’s your love story?

We met on Tinder! We were together for about 5 years before we got engaged, 2 days before Christmas. It was lovely and relaxed, just the two of us in our home, a bit of music playing and candles on. Then we went out for a beautiful meal at our favourite restaurant and had drinks at our favourite bar, followed by a ride on the ferris wheel in the middle of the city with all of the Christmas lights on around us!

○ Why did you choose Sheffield Botanical Gardens & Nice Neighbourhood.

We chose Sheffield Botanical Gardens because the place where you get married, the glass pavilions, is full of Aussie plants. Kate is half Aussie, so it felt like a really nice mix of home for the both of us! We chose Nice Neighbourhood, just down the road from the Gardens, because it is so much fun and beautifully decorated. We had an amazing night at Nice Neighbourhood, drinking G&Ts up on the roof in the summer, and decided we had to have that for the wedding!

○ What is the style/theme/vibe of your wedding?

Relaxed, fun, little bit funky, but mostly just very us.

○ What music are you walking down the aisle to / first dance and why?

Both our aisle music and first dance music is Unstoppable by Lianne La Havas. It was one of the first gigs we went to together, and it was amazing. The song is so beautiful and dreamy, and the lyrics are perfect.

○ What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Kate – Getting to the end of the aisle and being able to give Rob a huge hug. I bet I’ll cry.
Rob – Our first dance!

○ Describe your ideal wedding day in 3 words:

Relaxed, fun, memorable

○ Why do you like natural wedding photography?

We think the most memorable parts of the day will be the spontaneous, un-staged bits, and we want that reflected and captured with the photography!
