Erica & Shann ♡ Millennium Gallery Wedding, Sheffield
A snippet of Erica & Shann’s gorgeous Millennium Gallery wedding in Sheffield.
“Our wedding photos are incredible and everyone who has seen them has said the same. Throughout the day Sasha managed to capture a photo of every guest and the moments we didn’t see. During the speeches Sasha managed to figure out who was being talked about at which point and captured their reactions. We still can’t figure out how she knew who was who! We wanted Sasha because of the natural style of her photography and they are fantastic. Even the package that the USB comes in is so good. We would recommend Sasha to anyone”
Erica & Shann got married on a chilly & dry day in March 2018. The opted for a Millennium Gallery wedding, an art space and museum located directly in Sheffield city centre. They chose this venue because of it’s convenient location and space. The day’s theme touched upon their Sheffield roots, with pie & Henderson’s relish for dinner, Sheffield prints & memorabilia. Erica even walked down the aisle to the song Wondrous Place by Last Shadow Puppets. Shann & Erica wanted to find a natural wedding photographer, as they “like the idea of seeing the laughs, tears and other emotions throughout the day. Also, seeing the moments that are shot that we didn’t get to see.”
The day started off with groom prep’ at their home, where Shann and his groomsmen got ready and had a few beers, before setting off to catch the tram into the centre, where they could then wait and greet arriving guests. Erica on the other hand, was enjoying a relaxing morning with her bridal party at the nearby Leopold Hotel – a quick and easy 5 minute walk away from the Millennium Gallery. She gifted each and every one of her bridesmaids and flower girls, and even gifted me with a personalised Champagne flute! 😭 Tooooo sweet ❤
A really touching moment that was captured during bridal prep’ was when just after Erica had been fitted into her wedding gown, she took one glance in the mirror at her finished look, and burst into tears! It was totally adorable. And yes, I have been assured that they were happy tears 😂 And not surprisingly, since she looked completely stunning in a floor length, classic looking Blushes Bridal Studio gown and striking, deep red lipstick. It had a real Hollywood red carpet vibe about it.
Family & friends alike gathered for the ceremony at the Millennium Gallery wedding, and Shann waited eagerly at the end of his aisle for his bride-to-be to join him. When she arrived, being walked down by her dad, this time both her AND Shann teared up! It was honestly the cutest thing, and the love that they have for each other was blatantly clear to see in that moment ❤
After the I Dos, we gathered on the outside balcony area of the Millennium Gallery for some group photos, before me, Erica & Shann scarpered off to the Winter Gardens next door for a couple photoshoot. The Winter Garden makes for a stunning wedding photoshoot backdrop, with tropical plants and a gorgeous deep green colour with splashes of brighter colours coming from the flowers scattered about.
Everybody enjoyed a few drinks from the bar, before sitting down to enjoy speeches. Erica’s dad definitely entertained the room with fun childhood pics of Erica that he displayed up on the projector. Erica gave a little speech herself (I love it when brides do that 💪🏻), before handing the mic over to Shann and best man. They had the whole room laughing. After the wedding breakfast, a super cute and unusual addition to the day was Erica’s mum giving a fun quiz for guests to answer – all about Erica & Shann! One of the questions was for a mini-poem to be made about the newlyweds, which produced some pretty hilarious results.
The rest of the evening was spent by all, drinking, dancing, laughing & having fun! A fab end to a gorgeous day.
Kind words:
“We knew we wanted Sasha to be our photographer from when we first met her. Sasha made us both feel so comfortable and we had obviously seen her photos which were amazing. On the day she was amazing. She made everyone feel really relaxed and not aware that they were being photographed. People on the day commented on how good she was.
