Rosie & Liv ♡ Trafalgar Warehouse Wedding, Sheffield

A look at Rosie & Liv’s beautiful Trafalgar Warehouse wedding in Sheffield.

“Sasha was super supportive and reassuring, and the perfect combination of giving gentle direction when needed and independently capturing moments of the day. She put us both at ease with the slightly more posed shots (as it doesn’t really come naturally to either of us!) but we had so much fun and were able to totally relax into it!”

○ What’s your love story?

We met in 2019 in Neighbourhood Voices Choir. Rosie had been singing in the choir for a few years and Liv joined as their Assistant Musical Director. After many post-choir cinema trips and pints at the Rutland, we got together in 2020. When lockdown hit we made a spontaneous decision to move in together, as Liv was living in York at the time, and Rosie here in Sheffield. We soon extended our family to a family of 5 (Rosie’s house rabbit Willow welcomed two new siblings, Carrot and Parnsip)! In January 2022, we got engaged in Central Park in NYC – we both planned it together and got some lovely rings from a queer-owned jeweller.

○ Why did you choose Trafalgar Warehouse as your wedding venue?

We love Trafalgar Warehouse’s industrial and cool vibe, it was an easy choice!

○ What is the style/theme/vibe of your wedding?

Informal, fun and colourful.

○ What music are you walking down the aisle to / first dance and why?

“Little of Your Love” by HAIM to walk down the aisle to – one of the first things we bonded over was their music and we’ve been to see them together, we also thought this would set the tone for an upbeat and fun day. “Murder on the Dancefloor” by Sophie Ellis-Bextor – we picked this LONG before Saltburn haha – gets everyone dancing, absolute banger!

○ What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Having a big party with all of our favourite people!

○ Describe your ideal wedding day in 3 words:

Joyous, laid-back and fun.

○ Why do you like natural wedding photography?

It feels more authentic to us, we’re not great at posed photos!

○ Any advice for future brides & grooms planning their day?

○ Kind words:

“Sasha was such an amazing person to have in the run-up to and of the day of our wedding! She was super supportive and reassuring, and the perfect combination of giving gentle direction when needed and independently capturing moments of the day. She put us both at ease with the slightly more posed shots (as it doesn’t really come naturally to either of us!) but we had so much fun and were able to totally relax into it! The photos were better than anything we could have imagined, and we’d work with her again in a heartbeat. Thanks Sasha! ❤️”
