Rosie & James ♡ Carriage Hall Wedding, Plumtree Nottingham
Featuring Rosie & James’s gorgeous Carriage Hall wedding in Plumtree, Nottingham.
“Sasha is really one talented lady, her photos are fantastic and loved by all who viewed them. Sasha was so relaxed and just went and did her own thing which is really what we wanted. We both thought she was so lovely and the way she captured our day was better then we could of even imagined. Thank you again would recommend you to absolutely everybody.”
Rosie and James’ wedding was at Carriage Hall, Plumtree on a super sunny day in September 2017. The couple wanted natural photography because by their own admissions, they aren’t a very ‘posey’ couple. They also wanted to see pictures of the day as it progressed in an organic, relaxed way.
Rosie and James have been together eight years and got engaged in 2016. In the run up to the wedding, they were most looking forward to having all the family together and, in Rosie’s own words, “finally marrying my best friend and father to my two children, and seeing them full of happiness.” ❤️
The day started at Rosie’s sister’s house in Nottingham for bridal prep. It was a lot of fun watching Rosie with her sisters as their banter with one another was hilarious! Meanwhile, James arrived at the venue to greet guests. I’ve worked at Carriage Hall before and it’s a gorgeous venue with a big, spacious dance floor. The couple told me they knew as soon as they walked in it was the right venue for them, despite having seen countless others.
Rosie arrived with her dad before the ceremony in a gorgeous long, white, Brides & Gowns dress, with her blonde hair tied up with a veil and sparkling headband. They walked down the aisle to the acoustic version of Kygo – a Firestorm, one of her favourite songs. What was touching was Rosie and James had written their own vows, which made the ‘I dos’ unique and extra special.
Shortly after tying the knot, we took some formal group pictures outside before doing a mini family and couple photoshoot in the Carriage Hall grounds. My favourite picture of the day was taken at this point – the one of Rosie and James with their two children. I especially love that their outfits match mum and dad’s!
Guests enjoyed drinks before everyone sat down to a delicious wedding breakfast, followed by pudding. If I were to steal one idea from the wedding, it’d be the cake spread! The table was full of yummy looking pink and white treats, including cupcakes and cake pops, for guests to help themselves to.
Then came the speeches. For me, the funniest moment of the day was Rosie’s dad’s speech. He was a hoot, and had the whole room in stitches! This was followed by the official cutting of the cake and the couple’s first dance. If I had to pick a favourite memory, it’d be this one. Even though they were surrounded by more than 100 people, they were still their own little world. They looked so loved up, and long may it continue.
Kind words:
Sasha is really one talented lady, her photos are fantastic and loved by all who viewed them. Sasha was so relaxed and just went and did her own thing which is really what we wanted. We both thought she was so lovely and the way she captured our day was better then we could of even imagined. Thank you again would recommend you to absolutely everybody.
