○ What’s your love story?

We met at our local pub just before Angela went away to university. We started dating long distance with Shane travelling to visit at Newcastle, Germany and Sardinia. Eventually we both settled down in our hometown of Leeds. Shane proposed on the most incredible trip to Japan where he surprised Angela with a ring underneath the cherry blossoms. Now we live together with our cute and greedy cat, Sora.

○ Why did you choose Holdsworth House as your wedding venue?

We visited around 12 venues and were almost at the point of giving up until we discovered Holdsworth House. The manor house has so much character and the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. We could instantly imagine our wedding day there.

○ What is the style/theme/vibe of your wedding?

We don’t really have a set theme. We want the vibe to be relaxed and a celebration of us as a couple! One big part of the day will be the 1,000 paper cranes we’re making to hang in the venue. We were inspired by our visit to Japan where we learnt about the tradition of being granted a wish if you make 1,000 paper cranes.

○ What music are you walking down the aisle to / first dance and why?

Our aisle song will be Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles and we’re still deciding on our first dance! But pretty sure it will be a Stone Roses song.

○ What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Having a big celebration where everyone can be together, especially after not being able to for so long! And enjoying a few beers/ glasses of prosecco of course!

○ Describe your ideal wedding day in 3 words:

Fun, relaxed & personal.

○ Why do you like natural wedding photography?

We love natural wedding photography (and specifically Sasha’s photography!) because we want to feel relaxed on the day and also can’t wait to see all the candid photography capturing all the moments throughout.

○ Any advice for future brides & grooms planning their day?

When we’ve been getting bogged down by all the stress of wedding planning, we’ve been trying to focus on what really matters and not sweating the small stuff.
