I know I’m not alone in feeling like 2020 has been the most bizarre year. Completely unprecedented – it brought about challenges like no other. It was also the reason why so many planned wedding dates could sadly not go ahead. Who would have thought that one day a hug & kiss on the cheek with a loved one could be one of the most dangerous things you could do?

Regardless, love will always win and love can & will wait. The majority of couples postponed their wedding to a later date – still hopeful to celebrate surrounded by a big, warm crowd of loved ones. A fewer number decided to go ahead with a smaller celebration. These intimate elopements I’ve had the pleasure of photographing have all had their own unique charm. With unexpected, last minute planning comes little-to-no expectations of the day. But every one has been wonderful and full of so much love & happiness in the face of adversity.
