St Agnes RC Church Wedding York ♡ Sam & Lewis

Featuring Sam & Lewis’s St. Agnes RC Church & The Viking Pub & Bakehouse wedding in West Kirby.

Sam and Lewis got married at St Agnes RC Church in April 2017, and their reception was at The Viking Pub & Bakehouse, West Kirby

If I had to describe this wedding in three words it would be: light-hearted, family-orientated and loving. For example, in the morning, Sam and Lewis got ready together. Yes, that’s right – the bride and groom spent the morning of their wedding day together as a family, which set the tone for the rest of the day. It was lovely seeing their two girls watching them get dressed up in such a chilled out environment. Everyone looked great, especially Sam in her elegant long white dress, with her blonde hair swept back into a classic bun.

The church itself was gorgeous, with a huge ceiling and lots of stained glass that let in the natural light. Then, after the ceremony (which involved a family confetti throw – super cute!), I took photos of the happy couple walking through Ashton Park, along with their two sweet girls of course.

The wedding breakfast was at The Viking Pub & Bakehouse, which was very family-friendly with a nice big garden for the kids to play in, including a sand-filled pirate ship and ping pong table. They also had a kids’ corner, which is a great idea for keeping children occupied at a wedding, with lots of toys and colouring books!

As always, the speeches were fun. I particularly liked how Sam and Lewis’ little girls were laughing along to everything, although I’m pretty sure they didn’t understand any of the jokes. But they laughed anyway, just because everyone else was. Adorable! My favourite photo of the day is of the children dancing at the disco. Absolute little cuties!
