A look at Katie & Neil’s beautiful Whirlowbrook Hall wedding.
“Sasha did an incredible job and was the perfect wedding photographer to capture our special day. On our wedding day, Sasha captured all the best moments and seemed to somehow get shots when we didn’t even know she was around. Her candid, natural photos’ were perfect for what we wanted on the day, and we couldn’t be happier with the hundreds of photos we’ve got of our wedding.”
○ What’s your love story?
We met in the most romantic of ways – on Tinder, discussing our hypothetical roles in the zombie apocalypse. Our first date was at a Starbucks, where (despite Neil choosing hot chocolate instead of coffee), we hit it off. Neil’s love for coffee has grown since then (out of necessity).
○ Why did you choose Whirlowbrook Hall as your wedding venue?
Whirlowbrook Hall was the perfect choice for us as the team were so helpful and understanding of us only wanting a very small and intimate wedding.
○ What is the style/theme/vibe of your wedding?
Being a small and intimate wedding, we were able to make the most of having only our closest family, so it could be as “us” as possible. We put together activity packs for everyone (including an argument-starting His & Her game), and sneaked some dinosaurs into the decor.
○ What music are you walking down the aisle to / first dance and why?
Our first dance was to Future Days by Pearl Jam. It’s a song that we’ve listened to over and over and it always makes us think of one another.
○ What are you most looking forward to on the day?
st looking forward to the games and activities we had planned after the wedding breakfast – a chance for all of our closest family to kick back and have some fun.
○ Describe your ideal wedding day in 3 words:
Intimate, fun, us.
○ Why do you like natural wedding photography?
Neither of us like having our photos taken, so natural photography is a way of making sure we capture all of the great memories without feeling forced or awkward.
○ Would you recommend having an engagement shoot? (See Katie & Neil’s shoot here).
The engagement shoot was a great way for us to get to know Sasha and to make sure we were comfortable in front of the camera. It also got us in the mood for our wedding and made us even more excited for the day.
○ Any advice for future brides & grooms planning their day?
Make sure you do what YOU want to do and don’t worry too much about making everyone else happy. It’s your day.
○ Kind words:
“Sasha did an incredible job and was the perfect wedding photographer to capture our special day. We had an engagement shoot prior to our wedding which got us used to being in front of the camera and helped Sasha know what sort of photos we wanted. On our wedding day, Sasha captured all the best moments and seemed to somehow get shots when we didn’t even know she was around. Her candid, natural photos’ were perfect for what we wanted on the day, and we couldn’t be happier with the hundreds of photos we’ve got of our wedding. Thanks Sasha!”
