Leeds Civic Hall Wedding ♡ Pip & George

A look at Pip & George’s Leeds Civic Hall wedding followed by a reception at The Lamb & Flag.

○ What’s your love story?

We both went to Newcastle University but we did not meet while we were there. Pip’s housemate (Lauren) was dating George’s housemate (Mark) but we still never crossed paths. In fact Pip was once in George’s flat but George was too busy to come down because he was ‘studying’ (we all know he was actually playing football manager). A year or so later after University we met at one of Mark and Lauren’s legendary house parties. We got on really well but George was living in China and Pip had a boyfriend. Fast forwards another 18 months, Pip was single and George was back living in the UK. We met again at another of Mark and Lauren’s parties and have been together ever since. A house and a baby later, we decided it was finally time to get married!

○ Why did you choose Leeds Civic Hall & The Lamb & Flag as your wedding venue?

We wanted to get married where we live. We both LOVE Leeds.

○ What is the style/theme/vibe of your wedding?

Chill! We didn’t want a big fussy day just all our friends and family for a fun lunch in a pub.

○ What music are you walking down the aisle to / first dance and why?

Pip is walking down the aisle to ‘Lovely Day’ by Bill Withers because we’re hoping it sets the tone! Our first dance will be to ‘Buena Serra’ by Louis Prima because we’ve spent many evenings dancing to it while making dinner.

○ What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Celebrating the life we already have together.

○ Describe your ideal wedding day in 3 words:

Relaxed, fun and sunny.

○ Why do you like natural wedding photography?

○ Any advice for future brides & grooms planning their day?

Don’t sweat the small stuff. No one else notices if something is missing.
