Gail & Kelvin ♡ St. Cuthbert’s Victory Hall Lytham & Blackpool Festival House Wedding
Featuring Gail & Kelvin’s beautiful St. Cuthbert’s Victory Hall & Blackpool Festival House wedding.
“Sasha was a perfect choice for us. She spoke to us and found out what sort of photographs we wanted to remember our day by. Then she delivered! She was unobtrusive and yet managed to capture lots of moments that we may have not noticed but were nevertheless magical. She even managed to make two old farts like us look half decent! I would really recommend her services if you want fantastic photographs.”
Blackpool Festival House & St. Cuthbert’s Victory Hall hosted this chilly day. I just love winter weddings! There’s something about the frosty yet bright days, the Christmassy atmosphere and the general good cheer that puts everyone in a good mood.
Gail and Kelvin’s wedding was a fabulous, loving and quirky affair. The day began somewhat unusually with the couple meeting at Lytham St. Cuthbert’s Victory Hall in Lancashire before the ceremony. It was a very special moment to capture their expressions when they saw each other. Gail looked stunning in the most amazing lilac dress from Fairy Gothmother, and Kelvin was dapper in an olive green tweed jacket and waistcoat.
From there, everyone enjoyed taking the vintage bus to Blackpool promenade for the ceremony. It was a great fun, with everyone singing, and the views were gorgeous with the sea, beach and Blackpool Tower in the background. A perfect setting for some great natural photography shots.
Following a touching ceremony at Blackpool Festival House, we took a few group and couple photos by the Blackpool Chapel seafront. We then hopped back on the bus to Lytham where there was mulled wine and hot chocolate waiting for guests in the Hall. (This is a great idea for anyone who has a winter wedding – better than Prosecco on a cold December day!)
The venue was decorated beautifully with a huge Christmas tree, fairy lights and blue pompoms, and the buffet wedding breakfast was a lot of fun. I especially loved that Gail gave a speech – I guess this is kind of unusual, but being a school head teacher, she smashed it! Then onto dancing, and my favourite picture is the one of Gail and Kelvin together in front of the tree. I love the pure joy and happiness on their faces.
I really enjoyed being part of Gail and Kelvin’s special day. Everyone was so kind and fun, it was a really pleasant wedding party and a thoroughly enjoyable occasion.
