Chris & Lauren ♡ The Grand Hotel, York Wedding

Chris & Lauren got married on a sunny July day at The Grand Hotel in York. This luxurious, 5-star wedding venue is located in central York, and has such a classic & elegant charm to it.

The day began at The Grand Hotel for Lauren as she enjoyed a relaxing bridal prep’ with her bridesmaids and mum. Chris meanwhile was making sure everything was in order down in the ceremony room. Lauren got ready into a beautiful floor length, classic, white gown, finishing the look with a pretty veil and sparkly Jimmy Choo shoes. Her bridesmaids were dressed in a lovely pastel pink colour. Earlier on she had gifted her bridesmaids with some cute and thoughtful bracelets, which everyone then wore for the day.

The ceremony took place in a grand and luxurious looking room within the hotel. A few readings were given by family and friends, before the newlyweds had their first kiss, signing of the register and walked back down the aisle to a confetti throw. There was plenty of space for guests to chill out and mingle within the hotel during the pre-wedding breakfast lull. During this time Chris, Lauren & myself took a few group photos before having a walk around the hotel for some bride and groom shots.

The wedding breakfast was next, and this took place in the same room where the ceremony was held. The Grand Hotel staff had done a wonderful job of decorating the room, and it all looked very traditional & elegant. Plenty of whites, pinks and flowers – just lovely. After food, a few well-prepared speeches were given by the father of the bride, Chris and Chris’ best man, which everyone enjoyed listening to.

The evening party was great. Guests were thoroughly entertained with a casino hire, photobooth and sweetie stand. Chris & Lauren kicked off the evening’s events with a cutting of their gorgeous wedding cake and a first dance together. A beautiful day for such a sweet couple.
