Cat & Beccer ♡ Clifton Park Museum Wedding Photography
A look at Beccer & Cat’s beautiful Clifton Park Museum wedding in Rotherham, Yorkshire.
We’re so pleased with the photos Sasha took of our small October wedding. With just four guests, the day felt really personal and Sasha captured it perfectly. She was professional throughout but also friendly and relaxed, which made us feel completely at ease – something that we feel comes across in the photos. The photos she took are natural & authentic and we especially love the woodland shots where the red of the trees really encompassed the autumn vibe – they’ve been a real favourite with friends and family, and we’ve had so many lovely compliments on them.”

○ What’s your love story?
We met during lockdown in 2020. Cat was living on the top floor of the apartment block and Beccer’s flat was directly underneath. Cat was looking after her mum’s dog, Russell, during lockdown who is a notorious barker so she wrote a note apologising to the flat below if Russell was being a pest with his barking and slipped it under the door. This started a few back-and-forth notes and eventually we started to hang out together, forming a Covid-friendly bubble. Before long, Cat gave up her rented flat and moved in with Beccer. We have since moved into our first home (a proper house with a garden!), adopted two rescue dogs and a grumpy cat and got engaged on Beccer’s 30th birthday. Covid was understandably a miserable time for so many people, but, for us, it was the start of something amazing.
○ Why did you choose Clifton Park Museum as your wedding venue?
We originally had a bigger wedding planned at the Old Rectory in Handsworth but the more we got into the wedding planning, the more we began to realise that it wasn’t what we were truly comfortable with. We abandoned the big wedding plans and instead wanted a micro-wedding with just our immediate family (Beccer’s parents and Cat’s mum & brother). We chose Clifton Park Museum as its simplicity of the ceremony matched the intimate vibe we were hoping for and with both of us growing up visiting the park as children, it gave us a slight nostalgic feeling that we fell in love with. There are some beautifully kept memorial gardens just round the corner from the museum and, with our wedding being in the autumn, we thought they would make a beautiful spot for some photos to commemorate the specialness of the day.
○ What is the style/theme/vibe of your wedding?
Tiny, non-traditional, autumnal.
○ What are you most looking forward to on the day?
Spending the day with the most important people having a wedding that truly suits our personalities. After the ceremony, Cat, Beccer and our four guests head to a village pub/restaurant for lunch then it’s back home for pyjamas and spooky Halloween movies on the sofa with our rescue doggies enjoying our first evening as newlyweds in our happy place. Then we’re off to the Lake District for our mountain view hot tub lodge minimoon!
○ Describe your ideal wedding day in 3 words:
Relaxed, comfortable, meaningful.
○ Why do you like natural wedding photography?
Neither Cat or Beccer are natural in front of a camera. Looking through Sasha’s portfolio, we loved the impression of ease that her photos portrayed. In all her photos, the subjects look relaxed, happy and comfortable and for two camera-shy people, we hope to capture that same energy on our day.
○ Any advice for future brides & grooms planning their day?
Do what feels right for you. Big weddings are beautiful and a great way of bringing everyone together to celebrate with you. But if you’re more introverted with less social-battery stamina, there’s nothing wrong with having a wedding that mirrors that. Don’t feel pressured to go with the norm, everyone is unique and your day should reflect what makes you!

From the very beginning, the whole process was smooth and easy. Sasha gave us a call early on to get to know us a little better and understand the kind of tone we wanted for the day, which made us feel instantly comfortable. She was also incredibly prompt in sharing some amazing sneak peeks just days after the wedding, which was such a thoughtful touch and meant a lot while we were still riding the high of the day!
We’re really grateful to Sasha for documenting our intimate wedding so beautifully.”
