Rachel & Stephen ♡ Kelham Island Museum Wedding, Sheffield

A look at Rachel & Stephen’s beautiful Kelham Island Museum wedding in Sheffield.

“I cannot recommend Sasha enough she’s just the best …. Advice to everyone, book early to avoid disappointment, you wont get a better photographer. And a big thank you, our photos were just breath-taking. Perfect in every way xxxx”

Rachel & Stephen’s gorgeous winter wedding took place at Sheffield’s Kelham Island Museum. They chose this striking Victorian venue as they loved the different and industrial look. The 900 year old building may have an industrial background, and the weather outside may have been cold & rainy, but indoors there was nothing but a bubbly & warm atmosphere. Rachel & Stephen had done the most amazing job of decorating the venue themselves with heaps of fairy lights and Christmassy decorations, creating their own personal Winter Wonderland. Keeping in theme, the tables were decorated with holly, mistletoe and ice skates, and named after the 12 days of Christmas 🎄. So nice!

The day began at mum’s home, as Rachel got ready alongside her bridal party. Glasses of Prosecco were had as the ladies had their hair & makeup done. Stephen meanwhile was at Kelham Island Museum making final checks to the venue before welcoming in guests. Rachel walked down the aisle to I loved her first – a song chosen in memory of her dad. The nuptials were lovely, and the newlyweds celebrated with a first kiss under the mistletoe.

Afterwards, we took some bride & groom photographs out in the evening rain, sheltered by white umbrella, before moving inside for some warmer shots by the decorated evening room. After a tasty and welcome warm dinner, speeches were given by Rachel, her brother, Stephen and his best man – they all did a fab job.

The day was a wonderful & warm affair from start to finish, with so many laughter and smiles, and dancing well into the evening.

Notes from the happy couple:

What are you most looking forward to on the day?
For me it will be seeing Rachel walking down aisle and just bringing everyone together to celebrate our big day.

Why do you like natural wedding photography?
Just think it catches the whole day in a much more natural and relaxed way.

Kind words :
I cannot recommend Sasha enough she’s just the best …. Advice to everyone, book early to avoid disappointment, you wont get a better photographer. And a big thank you, our photos were just breath-taking. Perfect in every way xxxx
