Getting to Curbar Edge

Luckily, Curbar Edge has excellent links. For most people, driving is probably the easiest option. Curbar Gap Car Park is located close to the main viewpoint, with the postcode S32 3YR. There is pay and display car park, although it can get pretty busy, particularly at weekends and during warmer months, so arriving early is a good idea.

If you’re travelling by train, Grindleford Station is the nearest railway station, around 3 miles from Curbar Gap. From there, you’ll need to continue your journey on foot or arrange another form of transport.

There are also some public transport options for getting closer to Curbar Edge. There are bus services including the 218 from Sheffield to Calver, as well as routes connecting Chesterfield, Bakewell, and Baslow. If you’re relying on public transport, make sure you check the latest timetable before setting your proposal time. You’ll also want to allow plenty of extra time for the walk from the bus stop to your chosen location!
