Aaron & Lauren ♡ Ponti’s Italian Kitchen, Sheffield Wedding

A look at Aaron & Lauren’s beautiful Sheffield wedding at Ponti’s Italian Kitchen.

○ What’s your love story?

We met one week before the first lockdown in March 2020. Our first date was made up of six bars, one raspy acoustic guitar player and smooth flowing convo which all pointed to irrevocable chemistry from the get-go. The lockdown separated us for a couple of months before being reunited in time for Aaron’s 27th birthday. A few weeks later, we moved in together and we felt at home despite having to be cooped up for most of the time. The lockdown strengthened our relationship by repeatedly testing it. After six months of dating, one beautiful trip to Edinburgh, and many bowls of pho later, we got engaged at home in our little flat in the centre of Sheff, the block by the cheese grater, happier than either of us had ever been before!

○ Why did you choose Ponti’s Italian Kitchen as your wedding venue?

We chose Ponti’s Italian Kitchen because it is a beautiful local venue with delicious food and superb attention to detail. Mainly, we’re foodies so we knew what our priorities would be!

○ What is the style/theme/vibe of your wedding?

We both wanted our day to feel relaxed, effortless and take inspiration from nature.

○ What music are you walking down the aisle to / first dance and why?

Lauren is walking down the aisle to ‘Never Enough’ by Loren Allred from The Greatest Showman. This song is both elegant and dramatic and speaks to both of us. For our first dance, we wanted it to be fun, quirky and choreographed so we decided upon ‘Never Can Tell’ by Chuck Berry for the Pulp Fiction iconic moves…

○ What are you most looking forward to on the day?

We both get to marry our best friend! Plus spending the full day with our close family and friends.

○ Describe your ideal wedding day in 3 words:

Beautiful, laid-back and effortless.

○ Why do you like natural wedding photography?

Candid photography lends itself to capturing each moment in an authentic and unaffected way. We want to remember our day with such warmth and close reflection.

○ Any advice for future brides & grooms planning their day?

Give yourself time to unwind and be present in each stage of the planning process. Celebrate each little success and put each milestone into perspective 🙂
