A look at Polly & Matt’s Wortley Hall wedding in Sheffield.

Polly & Matt tied the knot on a chilly November day at Sheffield’s Wortley Hall. The surrounding grounds and stunning Yorkshire countryside made a beautiful backdrop for the couple’s special day.

The ceremony took place mid-afternoon in an elegant and classy looking room at Wortley Hall. Matt was a mixed bag of nerves & excitement, which soon melted into pure happiness when he saw his bride-to-be walking down the aisle. The bridesmaids were first to come down in deep red dresses, followed by Polly who wore a glamorous, floor-length white gown. It was a sweet ceremony, where just one touching reading was given by a friend.

Upon signing the register, another friend played the piano as 2 others sang along. Another gent finished the ceremony with a beautiful rendition of a Stevie Wonder song, which captivated everyone in the room.

The newlyweds walked back down the aisle together to applause and celebratory glasses of Prosecco at the end. Before everyone else made their way outside, the three of us slipped off for a walk around the grounds and photos. It was also a nice opportunity for the new Mr & Mrs to have a little catch up and alone time 💕.

The wedding breakfast room looked very classy, with its grand chandelier hanging from the ceiling and simple & traditional table decorations. Yummy, little, personalised gingerbread men had been made for the wedding favours, which was a super cute touch.

After dinner, Prosecco was poured ready for speeches & toasts. First up was the father of the bride, who delivered a wonderful speech about his daughter, who he spoke about with such pride. Matt was up next and needn’t of been nervous as his words were incredibly thoughtful, sincere and touching. There were THREE best men, and therefore three times the usual grilling a groom might receive. Their collective speech was not only funny, but well written and delivered with oomph.

After speeches, everyone enjoyed more drinking and chattering away, before the newlyweds cut the cake together and had their first dance. A wonderful, fun and warm start to the evening’s events.
