○ What’s your love story?

Ash and I met on The dating app, Hinge! (they really do work) We started speaking during the dreaded Lockdown (2020) and eventually had our first date in the June, when restrictions lifted. Ash moved in with me to my little house 1 year later, and a year after that we bought our first house together in June of 2022, Welcome our puppy Labrador, Ralph in the October and finally ended the year getting engaged in December. BIG YEAR.

○ Why did you choose The West Mill as your wedding venue?

The West Mill was the third venue we looked out, immediately fell in love with the industrial vibes and aesthetics, the layout with it being over 4 floors and the wow factor.

○ What is the style/theme/vibe of your wedding?

I would say rustic/boho!

○ What music are you walking down the aisle to / first dance and why?

An acoustic version of Adore You, Fred Again. The aisle song has taken up until 6 weeks before to decide on. Nothing felt right, I (millie) am not a huge fan of really romantic, slow, words all about love type songs. I heard this version originally by our singer on her instagram page and KNEW it was the one absolutely perfect.

○ What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Becoming husband and wife, sneaking off to have catch ups and de-briefs on the day! Seeing how much fun everyone is having!

○ Describe your ideal wedding day in 3 words:

Ash: Chilled-out sexy vibes. Millie: Relaxed, Magical, FUN

○ Why do you like natural wedding photography?

I think this question follows on fabulously from our ideal wedding day in 3 (6/7) words. Natural wedding photo create exactly that, a relaxed chilled out vibe, it looks dreamy rather than staged which is how I feel some photos come across. As couple we aren’t extremely serious people, we much prefer candid shots.

○ Any advice for future brides & grooms planning their day?

Have an engagement shoot (we wish we had), invite your doggos, set aside a night a week for an hour at a time to concentrate on “wedmin”. Budgeting is good, but don’t just buy it because it’s “tradition” put that cash into something that’s more worth it for you. Create a wedding website with email invites – this has saved us a HUGE amount of time and money.
