Rebecca & Aaron ♡ Spicer Manor Wedding, Yorkshire
Rebecca & Aaron’s Spicer Manor wedding was a beautiful, relaxed celebration filled with love, laughter and unforgettable moments.
♡
○ What’s your love story?
We both met at University of Derby through our love of hockey. We were friends at the start that grew into love for each other so naturally!
○ Why did you choose Spicer Manor as your wedding venue?
Spicer Manor was perfect because its exactly halfway between my family living in York and Aaron’s in Derby. It also had everything included in one place and all the wedding coordinators were absolutely lovely, and made us feel so welcome
○ What is the style/theme/vibe of your wedding?
Rustic, chilled and cosy.
○ What music are you walking down the aisle to / first dance and why?
I’m walking down the aisle to Dearly Beloved which is from the Kingdom Hearts game series. This is Aaron’s favourite game series and I really liked the music so told him that was what I would use. But then Aaron turned around to me and said if I wanted to use the music, I had to play all the games myself! So I played and completed 5 games in the years leading up to our wedding (with only a little help from Aaron). Our first dance is Stand By Me by Florence and the Machine because we like older music and that version sounded really nice of what we wanted.
○ What are you most looking forward to on the day?
The moment after we get married, before the confetti shoot whilst having a drink of prosecco and we can take a breath and have time together.
○ Describe your ideal wedding day in 3 words:
Relaxed, memorable and cosy.
○ Why do you like natural wedding photography?
Aaron isn’t one to smile in photographs and doesn’t really enjoy posing for staged pictures so natural was perfect! It also means we don’t have to be always looking for the camera to pose or be taken away from what we are doing to take pictures, we know that Sasha will be walking around and snapping away!
○ Any advice for future brides & grooms planning their day?
Make a timeline of what needs to be done when. Even when you try to plan as much as possible, there will always be something that is forgotten, but when you finally have moved into your venue and are relaxing with family before the chaos, look back and think to how much you have done and feel proud of yourself!
