○ What’s your love story?

We met on Tinder back in 2017 🙂 I spent many a Friday night driving up and down the M1 from Sheffield to Leeds where Jai is from. Our love grew over those long drives, listening to 90s RnB, eating far too many McDonalds and playing drunken Mario Party once we were back at my little flat in Sheffield. Jai moved to Sheffield in 2018, and we fell pregnant with our daughter Lily in 2019, who we welcomed in 2020 (our lockdown baby). Jai asked me to marry him on my 30th birthday in 2021 over afternoon tea at home 🙂 and I found out I was pregnant with our son, Luca, on my 31st birthday in 2022! Every year we’ve been together so far has held a special milestone for us, and we’ve achieved so much in a short space of time, so getting married with our babies by our sides in 2023 will be another really special milestone to add to our love story 😀

○ Why did you choose Stretton Manor Barn as your wedding venue?

Stretton Manor Barn was the only venue we looked at and we both knew instantly it was where we wanted to get married. It has such a special feel to it, it’s not too fancy, quiet surroundings, private and the views of the countryside are wonderful. The fairy lights in the ceiling did it for me, personally!

○ What is the style/theme/vibe of your wedding?

Romantic, soft, shabby chic, touch of fun and sparkly.

○ What music are you walking down the aisle to / first dance and why?

I will be walking down to Alicia Keys – If I Ain’t Got You: Jai and I both love this song. The lyrics describe how we feel for one another and the intro of the song gets me every time. Our first dance will be Brian McKnight – Back at One: this is a song we used to sing along to in the car all the time, I used to joke and say this will be our first dance one day (I wasn’t joking). The arrangement is so pretty and the lyrics tell the story about falling in love, but for me it’s also a reminder of why you fell in love with the person to begin with. It’s also a classic RnB tune, which Jai and I are massive geeks for ha!

○ What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Seeing Jai when I walk down the aisle. And seeing all the people we love in one room, celebrating our love for one another.

○ Describe your ideal wedding day in 3 words:

Laughter, love and fun!

○ Why do you like natural wedding photography?

It captures the real essence of people, something that we all long to see in ourselves and others. When you look back at pictures of a special day such as a wedding, you want to feel the emotions all over again, which is why we chose Sasha and her beautiful way of capturing people.

○ Would you recommend having an engagement photoshoot?

Absolutely. Sasha made it fun 🙂 Jai absolutely hates his picture being taken, but she managed to capture him just being himself which I will forever be thankful for. It is also a great practice run for the big day!

○ Any advice for future brides & grooms planning their day?

Do the engagement shoot and don’t sweat the small stuff, just focus on marrying your person and having the biggest party with your loved ones 🙂

We opted for an engagement shoot too which really we used as a practice run for the big day, as well as getting some family shots with our two children. These came out wonderful and Sasha was absolutely amazing with our two young children – we will treasure those photographs.

The typical cliché but my husband absolutely hates having his picture taken but he has said a few times now how easy it was with Sasha and at some points I think he even enjoyed having pictures taken!
