The Carriage Hall Wedding Nottingham ♡ Helena & Gareth

A look at Helena & Gareth’s wonderful Carriage Hall wedding in Plumtree, Nottingham.

This Nottingham wedding took place on a cool and clear Friday in March, 2017 at Carriage Hall, Plumtree. And what a day it was. There were dogs – literally walking down the aisle – a Prosecco parlour and a sparkler send-off. What more could you want as a wedding photographer?!

The day began at Helena’s parent’s house, while Gareth helped get everything ready at Carriage Hall. The bride looked beautiful in a lovely long white gown, white ballet pumps and flowers in her long, brown, curled hair. And the bridesmaids’ and mother-of-the-bride’s dresses were romantic lilac shades, a colour that featured throughout the day.

The ceremony was lovely, with live acoustic music by George Simpson and three lemon beagle flower girls excitedly scurrying down the aisle! At the back of the room, Gareth had made a metal frame where he and Helena made their vows. It had been decorated by the florist, Mrs Umbels Flowers, which looked gorgeous, and a nice touch that the groom had done it himself.

I loved the way the couple decorated the space – the attention to detail was wonderful, with lots of beautiful things to photograph. The messages they wrote to one another were particularly touching. The theme was gold & purple, and metallic & geometric shapes, which made for some great pictures. I especially liked the big ‘LOVE’ lettering lights – that looked so pretty as it lit up the dance floor.

My favourite picture of the day was when Helena and Gareth walked through their sparkler send-off at the end of the night. I think it was a great idea, and the photos came out really well, capturing their real excitement. And, of course, giving the flower dogs a little confetti throw was another highlight from this fabulous day!
