Emma & Richard ♡ The White Hart Inn Wedding, Derbyshire

A look at Jess & Luke’s gorgeous Hopefield Evangelical Church & Whitley Hall Hotel wedding.

“We absolutely love our photos and how they have turned out, we can’t stop looking at the them! On the day she wasn’t intrusive which is what we wanted, which also made for some lovely natural shots. We absolutely loved the posed shots too, with Sasha’s knowledge just prompting us on what to do and where to look, we absolutely love them”

○ What’s your love story?

We have always known of each other. Rich messaged me on Instagram and once we got talking we decided to meet up for a drink and it all went from there. We got engaged in Devon when we were down visiting Richard’s sister and her husband who live there. They had planned to go down to the beach one evening and he asked me if I wanted to go and have a photo. Little did I know that was his brother-in-law’s cue to get a photo of Rich proposing to me. It was lovely as the sun was setting, we also ordered pizza after and opened some bubbly to celebrate on the beach.

○ Why did you choose St. Mary’s Church & The White Hart Inn as your wedding venue?

We wanted to keep it traditional by getting married in church. We chose the White Hart for the wedding breakfast/reception as we love the surrounding area being in the countryside.

○ What is the style/theme/vibe of your wedding?

We are having a rustic theme, keeping everything quite neutral.

○ What music are you walking down the aisle to / first dance and why?

We are having the traditional bridal chorus as I walk down the aisle. We have chosen Ellie Goulding – ‘How long will I love you’ as our first dance. We don’t really have a song that is ‘ours’, and we both actually wanted different songs. However, we listened to this one and instantly fell in love with it as the words have so much meaning.

○ What are you most looking forward to on the day?

First seeing each other as I walk down the aisle & being married to each other. Rich has also mentioned he is looking forward to getting his speech out the way! We’re also really looking forward to having all our family & friends together after what has been such a rubbish year for everyone.

○ Describe your ideal wedding day in 3 words:

Laughter, happiness & relaxed.

○ Why do you like natural wedding photography?

I think natural photography captures the emotion rather than staged photographs. I love how it captures the day as a whole.

○ Any advice for future brides & grooms planning their day?

I would say being organised is key to make everything less stressful. Me & Richard kept a track of everything so we knew how much we needed to save etc, and would also say don’t stress about anything you can’t control. Little did we know we would have to go through a global pandemic during the planning and lead up. I was in two minds whether to postpone but I’m glad we held out.

○ Kind words:

“Sasha is amazing! We absolutely love our photos and how they have turned out, we can’t stop looking at the them! From the initial enquiry, Sasha was very quick to respond and also replied very quickly with any queries we had from that. On the day she wasn’t intrusive which is what we wanted, which also made for some lovely natural shots. We absolutely loved the posed shots too, with Sasha’s knowledge just prompting us on what to do and where to look, we absolutely love them.Thank you so much for capturing our day, they are photos that we will treasure forever.”
