Rebecca & Simon ♡ St. Lawrence Church & Ringwood Hall, Chesterfield Wedding

A look at Rebecca & Simon’s lovely St. Lawrence Church & Ringwood Hall wedding.

“Wow! I don’t know what else to say after receiving our wedding photographs, they are breathtaking. We laughed, cried (happy tears), went ‘ahh’ and said ‘wow beautiful’ many times. There wasn’t a moment you missed and you captured it all so perfectly. We are in awe at the moments you managed to capture. You were hardly ever seen but somehow managed to be there at the right place and exactly the right time. Thank you! You really have some talent (as well as being super lovely). We are very glad we found you and feel privileged that you were our wedding photographer. You’re awesome x”

After 6 years together Simon & Rebecca got married early August at St. Lawrence Church, followed by a reception at Ringwood Hall. St. Lawrence Church is a beautiful old building, which holds a special place in Rebecca’s heart as it’s where a lot of her family have been Christened or married there. Chesterfield venue Ringwood Hall is a beautiful 19th  century manor house, set upon 6 acres of stunning gardens and surrounded by parkland.

The day for Rebecca began at home as she got glammed up with her bridal party, accompanied by her baby girl. Her dark brown locks were styled into a classic up-do, topped off with a pretty veil & tiara. She wore a stunning princess-like, floor length gown from Mori Lee, and sparkly Jimmy Choo heels. Her bridesmaids meanwhile looked beautiful in deep navy blue gowns.

At Sheffield’s St. Lawrence Church Simon had been greeting arriving guests. Rebecca walked down the aisle to Thousand Years, hand in hand with her dad. The reading of choice was 1 Corinthians, “because it is about love, and that’s what it’s all about.”

After the ceremony, Rebecca & Simon made their way outside to be greeting with guests and heaps of confetti. They then hopped into their vintage wedding car to be chauffeured to Ringwood Hall. It was a beautiful, warm day for a marquee wedding reception, and the venue looked super pretty. Rebecca, Simon and I took a little time out to take some couple photos around the grounds. I especially love the romantic feel the pastel coloured hydrangeas add to the photos 🌺🌺🌺.

The inside of the marquee had a classic and elegant look. There wasn’t a particular colour theme to the day, just classy with “sparkles and a touch of dusty pink”. After the wedding breakfast, the speeches took place here too. There were many touching moments, especially from Rebecca’s dad and sister who had only kind words for the newlyweds. Instead of a speech, Simon’s best men had made a hilarious video for the occasion, which had everyone in fits of laughter.

The evening vibes were very relaxed, as guests chilled outside with drinks. There was even a Nacho cart (!) which was a first for me. The new hubby & wife had a romantic first dance together, before having their happy baby girl join them for a family dance. 💖It was such a beautiful family-oriented day, full of so much love.

Notes from the happy couple:

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

The ceremony, marrying Simon and seeing my daughter in her bridesmaid dress.

Why do you like natural wedding photography?

They look more like how things were on the day and the natural ones are always our favourite. We don’t take life too seriously.
