Rebecca & Tom ♡ Maldives Elopement Wedding Photography
Rebecca & Tom left the UK behind and travelled to the Maldives for an intimate elopement at Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa Maldives. Just the two of them, the ocean, and a quiet stretch of white sand in the middle of the Indian Ocean.
The Maldives greeted them with warm air and soft sea breezes and skies. Their day felt calm and uncomplicated from start to finish… no big timeline, no huge guest list, just the freedom to slow down and enjoy every part of the experience together.
As a Maldives elopement wedding photographer, these are the kinds of weddings I love documenting most. Honest moments, natural connection, and couples choosing a wedding day that feels completely true to them. Rebecca & Tom’s elopement at Hakuraa Huraa was simple, emotional, and effortlessly beautiful in all the best ways.
“There were small moments during our wedding days that we didn’t even register at the time, but seeing them in our gallery was genuinely moving. It felt like rediscovering parts of the day we didn’t realise we’d lived. Sasha has this remarkable ability to capture emotion in a way that feels real and unposed.”

○ What’s your love story?
Our love story started on a dating app. I’m not sure what I was expecting from it but we had connected and got along well over messaging each other and over our love of dogs. We met and hit it off well, both really connecting. We also had a weird moment when we saw both of our names on a narrow boat which I guess you could call a sign? After that we had dates eating out, at zoos, cinemas all the while letting our connection grow Into what it is today, we’ve lived separately, with my parents, now in Manchester for the last 5 years taking those next steps in life together
○ Why did you choose Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa in the Maldives as your wedding venue?
We chose the Maldives because it just looked absolutely beautiful and to be honest we wanted a big holiday too! I don’t think anything in particular drew us to the Maldives, we just got a clear impression from going to wedding fayres that we wanted to have a special experience for us two to share in a country completely different, knowing us two we were never going to do anything to conventional and also the prospect of sun and sand always helps!
○ What is the style/theme/vibe of your wedding?
Extremely chill, just us two, very intimate and relaxing, which is exactly what we wanted.
○ What music are you walking down the aisle to / first dance and why?
Carole Kings Tapestry album essentially became the musical backdrop for our wedding(s).
○ What are you most looking forward to on the day?
It’s been and gone, but I can safely say I was most looking forward to hearing Tom’s vows to me and reading mine to him, it felt so incredibly important I’d say for both of us that was the most meaningful part.
○ Describe your ideal wedding day in 3 words:
Humid, windy, hermitcrabz.
○ Why do you like natural wedding photography?
You captured us so perfectly, candidly and it feels so authentic to us.
○ Any advice for future brides & grooms planning their day?
Stop worrying about outside noise, do whatever the hell you want! Life’s to short and it’s YOUR wedding, celebrate your love and be happy definitely get a photographer and videographer, because you’ll miss so much on the day that they will capture, beautiful details and moments that you just forget in the moment. Sasha and Nathan are just the dream combo.
○ Kind words:
“Sasha photographed both our little registry office wedding and our Maldivian elopement, and honestly, she has been incredible from the very beginning. We’re completely drawn to her natural, organic style – there’s a quiet elegance to her work that makes the photos feel timeless and honest.
She has this remarkable ability to capture emotion in a way that feels real and unposed, yet she still notices all the tiny details that make a day uniquely yours. There were small moments during our wedding days that we didn’t even register at the time – everything moves so quickly – but seeing them in our gallery was genuinely moving. It felt like rediscovering parts of the day we didn’t realise we’d lived.
What meant the most to us is how she managed to create images that feel truly “us.” She put so much care and thought into everything she did, always going that extra step without ever making it feel like effort. And beyond her talent, she’s such a warm, grounded, and genuinely kind person. She made us feel completely at ease, and that comfort shines through in every photo.
We were also amazed at how she brought the same consistency and artistry to two completely different days, in two completely different parts of the world. The settings could not have been more opposite, yet her vision tied everything together seamlessly, creating a collection that feels cohesive while still letting each moment speak for itself. We honestly couldn’t recommend her enough.”
