Documentary Style Photography

I’m a natural Sheffield wedding photographer, but travel both nationwide and destination to capture special days. Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life, and I totally get that, which is why I pour my heart into my work. With my style of natural wedding photography you won’t find me interfering with the flow of the day, randomly asking you or guests to stop & smile for the camera. Instead, I’ll be looking on, observing and seeking out those real & touching moments that you’ll be able to relive for a lifetime.

As a professional wedding photographer I have captured hundreds of special days, so will also be there to offer experienced support and guidance where needed. The rest of the time, I’ll simply be rolling with the flow, blending in with guests and capturing memories. Forever happier behind a lens than in front. So if you’re a little camera-shy like me, then you don’t need to worry, I get it.

My main focus when photographing weddings is to capture the day as it naturally unfolds: to tell a story in pictures. There is so much beauty, love, emotion & romance within a wedding day that to me, tampering with the natural flow is unnecessary. Of course this doesn’t mean we can’t take time aside for couple shots & group photos too. These are inevitably a little more posed, but my main goal is to still make you feel comfortable and capture your real essence with gentle prompts here & there.

I keep an eye out for those quiet romantic gestures, bursts of laughter, happy-tearful eyes, silly moments and warm embraces. I’m also a sucker for pops of colour, the sky, ANY type of animal at a wedding, flowers & fairy lights. But in all honesty, every wedding, couple & love story have their own unique charm, which is such a joy to see and photograph. With candid, relaxed wedding photography, I’m here to capture the real glow, character and personality of the day.

We opted for an engagement shoot too which really we used as a practice run for the big day, as well as getting some family shots with our two children. These came out wonderful and Sasha was absolutely amazing with our two young children – we will treasure those photographs. The photographs Sasha captured on our special day are just incredible. She truly managed to capture the magic of our day – I cannot stop looking at them!

Nothing about Sasha’s way of photographing people is forced, it is truly natural. So much so, she felt like a guest and I forgot she was there to take our pictures (in a nice way, I promise 🙂 If you are unsure about being in front of a camera, please book Sasha. She is friendly, warm, professional, funny and I honestly feel like I made a new friend.

The typical cliché but my husband absolutely hates having his picture taken but he has said a few times now how easy it was with Sasha and at some points I think he even enjoyed having pictures taken!
