Sam & Jess ♡ Ringwood Hall, Chesterfield Wedding
Met at work (Sam was my manager). He asked me on a first date on the 15th April 2016 after a few months of friendship. After 2 weeks together we said we were meant to be and would end up marrying each other. He then proposed in the National gallery in front of Vincent Van Gogh’s sunflower painting which is Jess’ favourite painting on the 16th April 2017. Of course when we had to pick the date we chose 18th April 2019 as our wedding date.
○ Why did you choose Ringwood Hall?
Because Sam fell in love with it when we went to a wedding fair.
○ What is the style/theme/vibe of your wedding?
Us : we want it to be our story so expect sunflowers, baby photos and rustic centre pieces.
○ What music are you walking down the aisle to / first dance and why?
Walking down the aisle to an instrumental version of One Republic’s – Secrets by Dallas String Quartet because I love classical music and it just sounds beautiful. First dance is Shut Up and Dance With Me originally by WALK THE MOON but we’re going with the Anchor + Bell version which is slower – honestly it stemmed from a joke that Sam doesn’t like to dance.
○ What are you most looking forward to on the day?
Being able to call each other husband and wife.
○ Describe your ideal wedding day in 3 words:
Romantic, chilled and memorable.
○ Would you recommend having an engagement shoot?
(At the time of writing). We’ve had ours yet but I would still recommend it because it gets you used to being photographed, so I can’t wait to see the photos because it will just capture us.
○ Why do you like natural wedding photography?
Because it captures people better being themselves rather than poses that can be awkward.
○ Any advice for future brides & grooms planning their day?
Elope 😂 have your day your way no matter what.
○ Kind words:
Sasha is amazing, we met her at my mum’s wedding and we fell in love with her natural photography style. We had an engagement shoot first as we wasn’t used to being photographed but Sasha put us at ease with it. Both during our engagement shoot and our wedding photography, it felt like Sasha wasn’t there as it was so natural. My husband is still shocked that she captured him peaking at the sweet cart 😂 – honestly cannot recommend her enough ❤️.
