A snippet of Rebecca & Alex’s beautiful The Principal wedding in Manchester.
Rebecca and Alex’s wedding took place at the Principal Hotel, Manchester, in January 2018.
The couple had a relatively small wedding, so they only asked for photography for an hour or so. But that short period of time was really lovely.
The Principal Hotel is a beautiful, grand Victorian building with a twist. The oak panelling, chandeliers and high ceilings created the perfect backdrop for the ceremony. The ‘twist’ came from the modern interior in other parts of the venue, which were in quirky contrast… in a good way!
Rebecca looked stunning as she walked down the aisle. She wore a gorgeous vintage, below-the-knee dress, which was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Her dark hair was swept back into a sophisticated up-do, and her elegant shoes complemented the outfit perfectly.
One of the most touching moments for me was during the ceremony. Both Rebecca and Alex watched and listened intently as one of their guests read a poem, which visibly moved them both. The photos during the vows are also some of my favourites too.
After the newly-weds said their ‘I dos’, the wedding party gathered round for some group shots. I then whisked the bride and groom away for a mini-shoot around the gorgeous building, before they joined the rest of their guests having a few drinks and playing pool at the bar.
Alex and Rebecca’s wedding was a relaxed and enjoyable affair, and I loved being able to share a little part of their special day
