It all began with bridal prep at Katie’s. She wore a gorgeous, classic and traditional gown, finished with a pretty veil. Katie also had a white fur bolero to keep her shoulders warm on what was a cold and crisp day.
One of the most touching moments was when Katie saw her grandma that morning. She had worried that she wasn’t going to be able to come, as she has recently been very ill, so when Katie saw that she had made it she was over the moon.
After the ‘I dos’, there was a fun confetti throw tunnel, before everyone then travelled to Bagden Hall Hotel for drinks and photographs. Katie and Dan looked totally loved up during their couples photoshoot – it was adorable.
Bagden Hall Hotel is a beautiful Victorian country house, and a brilliant wedding venue. It had a large stretch of grounds filled with autumnal colours, and a cosy room with a large fireplace that wedding guests got toasty relaxing in front of.
One of the funniest moments of the day was Katie’s dad helping me get all the kids laughing during group photos by acting like a bit of a maniac behind me. It worked though! What a guy.
After the group shots everyone enjoyed a few drinks, before settling down to enjoy the speeches. Dan’s speech to Katie was especially heartfelt. This was followed by the wedding breakfast, the cutting of the cake and the first dance.
I really enjoyed being at Katie and Dan’s wedding as they are such a sweet couple. They even asked to have a photo with me during the group shots, as they wanted to remember that I was a part of their day. My heart!
