Small & intimate wedding venues are rising in popularity, especially post 2020. While larger weddings are so much fun, with the hustle, bustle and chatter of the day, smaller weddings absolutely have their unique charm. They’re warm, intimate, often calmer and gentle – everyone becomes familiar by the end of the day. Based in the heart of the Peak District, Biggin Hall is a gorgeous countryside venue. It offers an outdoor ceremony space, nestled within the dappled shade of trees & greenery. A lovely & quaint venue, which can also accommodate overnight stays for couples & guests.

The Cove | Secret Seaview Chapel
Robin Hood’s Bay
The Cove, Secret Seaview Chapel in Robin Hood’s Bay really lives up to its name. Quietly tucked away within the heart of the cobbled alleys, you’ll easily miss this secret venue if you don’t already know about it. One of my all time personal favourites, The Cove is a gorgeous seaside wedding venue, with a stunning sea views.

Blencowe Hall | Lake District
Blencowe Hall is a gorgeous venue within the Lake District. Seemingly in the middle of nowhere, you’ll have this entire wedding venue to yourselves, and feel like you have much of the surrounding area to yourselves too. This rejuvenated venue is a stunning stone-built structure with contemporary modifications. It is a breath-taking sight, especially on a bright summer’s day.

The Crab & Lobster | York
York’s The Crab & Lobster is an alternative & quirky wedding venue. Featuring a Sasquatch in the stairwell, giant Russian Doll in the lounge and scuba divers on the ceiling, this venue is a lot of fun. The conservatory is a lovely area to have a small ceremony, with heaps of natural light filtering through.

Islington Town Hall | London
There are an abundance of lovely ceremony venues in London, however Islington Town Hall really is a notable one. This listed building features colourful walls, grand rooms and sweeping marble staircase. Overall a very elegant setting for your intimate wedding ceremony.

Tissington Hall | Peak District
Tissington Hall is a wonderfully idyllic venue, nestled within the rolling hills of the Derbyshire countryside. Steeped in history, this venue has character and charm. It may have five acre gardens for all to enjoy, but this is still a special venue for a smaller & intimate wedding celebration.
