Hannah & Paul got married at the very end of March, on a cool & dry day, after 8 years together. Their venue of choice for the entirety of the day was Talbot Hotel in Malton. They chose this spot as it felt “relaxed and homely.” They also said that the venue made them feel at ease, which is just what they were looking for.
I entered the building to immediately come across Paul making trips up and down the stairs with their gorgeous little girl, who apparently hadn’t slept a wink all night, but still had heaps of energy to burn 😂. Hannah meanwhile, was getting ready upstairs in the bridal suite with her mum and sister. She had her dark hair tied up into a loose bun at the back, with a few wispy curls hanging by the sides, and some pretty, little white flowers tucked into the bun. She wore a beautiful, long, white gown with a lacy trim from Elite Bridal, and looked gorgeous.
The ceremony was held in a bright, cream coloured room down on the ground floor. I love bright natural lighting, and this room had heaps of the stuff flooding in from a large glass section of the roof. The ceremony itself was lovely. Hannah & Paul’s little girl walked down the aisle first of all, and when she saw her mummy walk over and reach daddy, she yelled out ‘yay!’ several times 😂. It was so cute 💖.
After the ceremony, everybody made their way outside and gathered together to give the newly married couple a good showering with some pretty purple & lilac confetti. After a few group photos, Hannah popped back inside Talbot Hotel change out her heels to a pair of comfy slippers – for real 😂! We had a nice little wander around the vibrant green grounds as I took photographs of the happy couple. Guests meanwhile were relaxing back inside by the bar area, enjoying having a drink together.
The large conservatory beside the hotel had been set up ready for the evening reception to begin. It was another lovely, big, bright room and had been decorated with fairy lights and lilac paper pom poms. The tables had been decorated with a “natural and fresh” image in mind, and included dusty lilac coloured flowers and wooden candle holders. Hannah & Paul had one of the prettiest wedding cakes I’ve ever seen! It wasn’t overrun with detail, but it didn’t need it – just 3 layers of gorgeous white & lilac coloured icing, finished with a custom Mr & Mrs Hunt topper.
Everybody gathered in the conservatory to order more drinks at the bar, before taking a random seat (as unusually there was no seating plan) and relaxed while enjoying the speeches. Shortly afterwards, Hannah & Paul cut into their pretty wedding cake, before making their way to the dance floor to partake in their first dance together as hubby and wife to James Arthur’s Say You Won’t Let Go. It was really lovely to watch and capture, and halfway through the song they encouraged family & friends alike to join in with the dancing. Of course little one came and had a boogie of her own too. It was a lovely and relaxing day, and as always, I wish Mr & Mrs Hunt a lifetime of happiness together.
